Dear SLND family,
I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all their efforts throughout the year. The success of our company is built on the efforts of our employees and in this past year, we have enjoyed many successes. Thank you for the dedication, loyalty and commitment that each one of you has shown. We’ve come through a year that was filled with both challenges and victories. How reassuring it’s been to know that we can count on all of you regardless of what faces us. From prestigious awards to being No.1 on BSC Metrics for our Region -we're proud of all the hard work our team has put in Forming hotel team houses, curating re-imagined dining and wellness experiences, to CSR activations for our community, we’ve done it all! But most of all, we are thankful for the strong relationships we have with our guests and our colleagues; they are what keep us going and make us successful! In 2023, we'll be working together to help each other reach our personal and professional goals. Let's keep up the amazing work in 2023 and stay focused on our purpose: "Hosting people to the colorful joys of life in a sustainable manner".

MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES [DHIRAJ BHUSHAN]
This adage can’t be more apt for this situation. Our comeback after the lull of worldly disorder of Covid is nothing short of phenomenal and exceptional. Team came together to work for the success of the hotel and the results were there for everyone to see. Our BSC score was the best in Region and we were also ranked 6th in the world. We took care of each other; built on our strength; thought out of the boxes; and came out strongest than ever. “When going gets tough; the tough gets going”.
2022 will go down as the best learning year for the team which says; Resilience pays when everything else fails. On this occasion: I wish to thank all the colleagues and team members who have been a part of this remarkable journey. I can only say that we shall also continue to work to make this hotel a better place for all of you; while you continue to Do Good; set new benchmarks; obsess over customer experience, Never give up; and compete to win. As we now usher in the new year 2023; we shall have fond memories of 2022 to look back upon and I am sure that we shall be beacons of hope and light for ourselves and all the other hotels in our region too.. NEW MANAGEMENT
Chandra Prakash Sharma joined our SLND family on 07th November 2022 as Director of Engineering. He has over 20 years of experience and has worked with Hotel Brands like The Oberois, The Claridges in New Delhi, The Leela and Anya Hotels in Gurugram. In his last assignment he was working with Crowne Plaza New Delhi Okhla (Intercontinental Hotel Group) as Chief Engineer. In his past assignments, he has handled pre-opening of the hotels with big teams and he has a great deal of exposure in the field of Engineering and Sustainability. Chander Prakash holds a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Karnataka University. He is a self-motivated and versatile professional and comes with strong analytical qualities.
Mala Makan joined our SLND Family on 29th November 22, as Director of Events. She has about 25 years of experience and has worked with hotel brands like Hyatt Hotels in Delhi and Kathmandu; Park Plaza Hotel in Gurugram and Radisson Blu Hotel, New Delhi. In her last assignment she was working with Hyatt Regency Delhi, as an Associate Director of Events. She has also worked in Travel and Event Management companies. In her past assignments, she has not only handled huge MICE business, but also social business for the hotels. Mala holds a graduate degree in Commerce from Delhi University and has done Diploma in Airlines Travel and Tourism too. She is a self-motivated and a versatile professional.
Anju joined our SLND Family on October 17, 2023 as an Executive Housekeeper. She has 14 years of experience and has worked with hotel brands such as Intercontinental, Marriott, Wyndham and Taj. Her most recent assignment was as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper for Radisson Hotel in Delhi. She attended Army Public School, which helped her gain confidence and a passion for her job. She enjoys travelling, painting, and sketching, all of which allow her artistic side to shine through.
PROMOTION ANNOUNCEMENT “We Compete to Win and Own Our Success”
It gives us immense pleasure to announce that Perminder Kaur Puri has been promoted as Director of Sales & Marketing at SLND w.e.f. October 1, 2022. She joined us as Service Manager in February 2010 and has over a period of time been recognized for her hard work, zeal and commitment which also saw her being promoted as Director of Business Development in 2012 and Director of Sales in 2016. Her journey of success resonates with our core beliefs as a company, of recognizing and nourishing our own internal talent. We are proud of a resource like her, who has grown up valuing Shangri-La culture all throughout.

We are thrilled to have won HT city hall of fame award for Grappa under the Italian Inspiration Category.
Our CHI Spa won the "Best Hotel Spa" at the Global Spa Magazine Awards.
Our Director of Revenue Optimization, Navpreet Singh Dua has been recognized as one of the top
Contenders under the Revenue (luxury to upper scale) category.
Coffee with Abhi
"Coffee with Abhi" has returned. Our General Manager and Level 4 colleagues shared a cup of coffee and discussed about various issues concerning the well-being of both guests and employees.
CELEBRATIONS
17th anniversary
SLND celebrated its 17th anniversary on September 18, 2022. Embraced by the beautiful smiles of employees and with renewed zest, we resolve to provide the outstanding services to our guests.
International Housekeeping Week
With the combined efforts of our housekeeping team, we are able to provide the best stay experience for our guests. To thank them, SLND celebrated International Housekeeping Week (September 11-17, 2022) with high spirits.
International Chef's Day
On International Chef's Day i.e., on (October 20, 2022), we prepared salty crackers with our beloved guests. The entire experience brought us closer together and filled our hearts with joy.
Prosperous Diwali
On the auspicious occasion of Diwali i.e., on (October 24,2022), we illuminated our lives with holy pooja. In addition, a Rangoli competition was held to celebrate the festive spirit. One of the Rangolis which was liked by our judges.
Our Kitchen Team made the Rangoli which was worth remembering as they linked the concept of colors while raising awareness about the environment too.

ANNUAL DAY
We celebrated our Annual Day on January 2, 2023, with a variety of events. Beginning with dazzling performances centered on representing our culture. Housekeeping, Human Resources, Security, Engineering, and Food Production were among the dances that stood out the most.
Furthermore, the much-anticipated names of Mr. and Mrs. Shangri-La were revealed after a rampwalk and Q&A.
Finally, the celebration was remembered by honoring our loyal and genuine colleagues with their service awards, whom we sincerely thank from the bottom of our hearts.
It's an amazing feeling to see our team members, serving the SLND for 15 years, with the same dedication and energy.

OPENING OF RECREATION ROOM INAUGURATION OF SHANGRI-LA ACADEMY DEVELOPMENTS IN SANTUSHTI
Our latest addition - Recreation Room. It has a gym, a play area and a lounge space for colleagues to relax and socialize.
Recent developments in our staff restaurant including a Wi-Fi zone, and a seating capacity for more than 100 people paved the way for providing our colleagues with the luxurious environment.
Our Human Resources department relocated, and our new design incorporates Shangri-La Academy, with seating for more than 20 people. The main purpose of the Academy is to serve as a venue for Learning and Development.

We were overjoyed to see NDS members at the hotel. From the property tour to the cheerful lunch, it was truly the best journey we could have ever imagined and having them with us was a true blessing.
During the property tour, our colleagues from NDS were provided an overview of the hotel's operations. They got inspired and displayed interest in pursuing internship in the area of their preference in the hotel.
PINK OCTOBER
Dr. Neha Sharma was invited to the hotel to raise breast cancer awareness. She is an oncologist and educated everyone on breast cancer myths and facts. The session was informative, and indeed our Pink October event was a huge success.
OUR MAKE-A-WISH
We hosted the afternoon tea in collaboration with MakeAWishIndia on Nov 29, 2022 and we our eternally grateful for becoming a part, of this beautiful idea and making small differences in the lives of the precious kids.
Merry Christmas
To make the Christmas event more special, we held a tree lighting ceremony. We hosted sweet little kids from Bal Sahyog to the colorful joys of life.
