I’m fortunate to manage my own independent firm. I love that I live and work in the great community of Coral Springs because I get to spend quality time with my two boys while balancing my time at the office. Being able to attend my children’s various functions or volunteer at school events is priceless. I love volunteering for the organizations my boys are involved in. One example is the YMCA program “Adventure Guides” (aka Indian Guides). We participate in Teton Nation, which is essentially the north Broward County chapter of the program. Adventure Guides and Teton Nation bring together fathers and sons. When our group gets together, we work on small craft projects or go on camp retreats. We also participate in community-focused events, including marching in the Coral Springs annual holiday parade in December. As I was looking back through photographs of my children to put together a collage for my son Ben’s bar mitzvah, I was taken aback by how many of the memorable photos of my sons and me were from Adventure Guides events. There are several groups, and we are proud to belong to the “Yellow Knives.” Of course, having my own firm also means that I can have more personal relationships with my clients as well. I’m the decision maker. None of my clients will ever get stuck in the “run-around” while
a committee tries to come to a decision, which can happen at large firms. The way we run things at my firm, I emphasize the importance of having strong, long- term relationships with our clients. Those additional minutes or hours I can give to a client personally are what help me find the best solutions to cases. I hope that demonstrates that law is more than just a job for me. I care about my clients, and I am always here for them if they need me. “The way we run things at my firm, I emphasize the importance of having strong, long-term relationships with our clients.” With our busy lives, it’s always important to keep the lines of communication open. My dad taught me that life is all about relationships. Showing that extra bit of kindness, effort, or attention can make all
the difference in how someone feels about their experience with you.
