Our Full-time MBA Class of 2020–2021

Welcome to our first Full-time MBA Graduate Destinations report, tracking the successes of our Class of 2020–2021. We’re proud to share the breadth of roles, industries, and new geographical locations our participants have successfully entered just six months after completing their Full-time MBA. Despite an uncertain backdrop to their studies, caused by a disrupted employment landscape, 91% of our graduates accepted a job within three months of the

MBA, with 88% changing sector, and 61% changing location. This showcases the immediate impact the Warwick Full-time MBA can have; we facilitate career change. Consulting (31%), Technology (24%), and Financial Services (16%) are the most popular sectors entered post-MBA. In terms of location, over half of our Class chose to pursue their first role post-MBA in the UK. The average salary of the Class rose by 44%after their studies.

We’re delighted to celebrate the successes of this cohort, which showcase their resilience and tenacity, as well as their commitment to our core values of curiosity, openness, restlessness, and excellence. Kate Friend

How does WBS CareersPlus support our Full-time MBAs?

The CareersPlus team began helping me before I even started the programme, connecting me with MBA students from the prior year who were nearing the end of their studies. These connections helped me build a bit of a network as I came into my studies, giving me a boost in having career-related conversations from day one. The CareersPlus team also helped greatly – via workshops and seminars – to develop my skills in customising my CV, to leverage the WBS and larger LinkedIn networks, and to negotiate salary. These tools helped me in reaching out to alumni and initiating conversations which later led to me accepting a job offer.

Our career services are tailored to your individual needs and fully integrated into the programme, providing an excellent way to supercharge your career, leadership skills and earning potential. You’ll have weekly career development sessions in your timetable, ensuring you leave WBS feeling confident to make your next career move. Throughout the year, you’ll also have access to unlimited one-to- one career coaching. You’ll also focus on developing your own leadership style; through a series of experiential workshops, lectures, seminars and case studies. Our bespoke LeadershipPlus module enables you to reflect on what you personally stand for while preparing you to lead, manage and influence other people successfully in today’s complex, cross-border, multicultural environment. And our career services don’t stop when you complete unlimited careers consultation and our Professional and Global Networks. You’ll also be able to participate in our career skills masterclasses and webinars for free. Discover more: W wbs.ac.uk/go/FTCareers your programme. After graduation, you can still access online resources,
