Public Cloud Public Cloud is often a third-party provider such as Microsoft or AWS. These are usually owned and operated publicly by the company themselves. How to save time and money with outsourced IT support

Private Cloud Private Cloud environments are based on exclusive infrastructure for a single company and are designed for specific business requirements. These environments often use their own domains for very large organisations of businesses where data privacy and security are primary concerns. For example, this could include finance government organisations. The budget required to build your own data centre and

Private Cloud environment is significant and will more than likely be hosted at an alternative location, with its own disaster recovery plan.

Although this option isn’t suitable for everyone’s business due to its cost, we have our own solution. This solution shouldn’t get confused with what we have already covered in Private Cloud storage, we often recommend our own Virtual Private Cloud, known as VPC. Our VPC is designed around a public cloud infrastructure, but this is a private section of a public cloud. This means your company can benefit from the security and exclusivity of a private cloud solution at a fraction of the cost. Not only does a VPC allow businesses to carry out many tasks seamlessly, but it’s also all stored in one place. This includes running code, hosting websites and ensuring your VPC environment is isolated from other organisations for heightened security and exclusivity.

Multi-Cloud

A ‘Multi-Cloud’ environment is as the name suggests. This is typically where more than one Public Cloud service is used by a company at the same time.

Hybrid Cloud

A ‘Hybrid Cloud’ environment uses a combination of both Public and Private Cloud solutions. For example, a business may decide to use Public and Private Cloud Solutions. Deploying a Hybrid Cloud allows organisations to pick and choose the elements they need and maintain an on-premises legacy infrastructure. Hybrid Clouds typically include at least one type of Public Cloud and offer scalability whilst retaining complete control of the data they contain.

For example, a company running Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure is a multi-cloud

Hybrid also brings down the cost of Cloud-based environments as they don’t normally involve any Private Cloud infrastructure/data centre costs.

Growing companies will find that a Hybrid Cloud environment is a good option for their business model unless you have the opportunity with a Managed Service Provider to deploy a Virtual Private Cloud which takes Hybrid Cloud to another level – but you will need to partner with an organisation such as Aerial Direct to unlock the significant VPC benefits.
