Which cloud solution is right for you?
Multi-Cloud
A ‘Multi-Cloud’ environment is as the name suggests. This is typically where more than one Public Cloud service is used by a company at the same time.
Hybrid Cloud
A ‘Hybrid Cloud’ environment uses a combination of both Public and Private Cloud solutions. For example, a business may decide to use Public and Private Cloud Solutions. Deploying a Hybrid Cloud allows organisations to pick and choose the elements they need and maintain an on-premises legacy infrastructure. Hybrid Clouds typically include at least one type of Public Cloud and offer scalability whilst retaining complete control of the data they contain.
For example, a company running Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure is a multi-cloud
Hybrid also brings down the cost of Cloud-based environments as they don’t normally involve any Private Cloud infrastructure/data centre costs.
Growing companies will find that a Hybrid Cloud environment is a good option for their business model unless you have the opportunity with a Managed Service Provider to deploy a Virtual Private Cloud which takes Hybrid Cloud to another level – but you will need to partner with an organisation such as Aerial Direct to unlock the significant VPC benefits.
