Role Purpose and Respons
Networking and Engagement • Contribute to the development of an annual programme of environmental sustainability awareness activities linked with national/international campaigns, e.g., cycle to work week, bikers’ breakfasts and new student Welcome Week. • Liaise with staff and students across Professional Services, Faculties, and Liverpool Guild of Students to support positive action and behaviour change as regards environmental sustainability. • Represent the environmental sustainability team at a range of external committees and meetings, sharing updates in relation to the sustainability strategy and FRCS activities and gathering knowledge and ideas to bring back into the institution e.g., Knowledge Quarter Joint Transport Network and SHIFT Steering Group. • Develop and maintain an extensive internal and external network; speaking at events and conferences to raise the profile of the environmental sustainability team and wider sustainability objectives both within and outside of the University. General • Undertake other duties commensurate with the grade as required. In addition to the above, all University of Liverpool staff are required to: • Adhere to all University policies and procedures, completing all obligatory training and induction modules, including Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety. • Respect confidentiality: all confidential information should be kept in confidence and not released to unauthorised persons. • Participate in the University’s Professional Development Review scheme and take a proactive approach to own professional development. • Demonstrate customer service excellence in dealing with all stakeholders. • Embody and uphold the University’s Vision and Values.
