High level understanding of environmental sustainability and its application in a large complex dynamic organisation Successful experience of influencing, persuading and encouraging adoption of new ideas and processes across a wide range of departments Experience at producing good quality reports, and giving clear oral reports/ presentations. Good knowledge of the statutory compliance and practical aspects of environmental sustainability Successful leadership showing a positive growth mindset as a demonstrable strength Comprehensive understanding of environmental sustainability and how to monitor / measure arising against targets Engaging positively with teams and implementing change projects Experience of collecting and analysing data to measure performance and impact Setting up environmental sustainability events and initiatives The successful management and planning of budgets Successful management of projects and contract management Experience of HE or similar large complex estates such as NHS Developing regional and national networks within the sector and outside of the sector An appropriate first degree in an environmental sustainability related discipline An appropriate professional qualification, at membership level in an environmental sustainability related discipline demonstrating extensive experience in waste or environmental leadership and management ISO 14001 Auditor training An appropriate professional qualification, to chartered level (CEnv, MIEMA etc), in an environmental sustainability related discipline demonstrating extensive experience in environmental leadership and management
