Keith Confer out of Flushing, MI, did a great job keeping the old school vibe on his ’40 Ford coupe with the original 1963 primer, small- block Chevy power wearing trips, a five-speed manual, ’64 Thunderbird seats, 15-inch Americans, and the pair got a “Host Club Pick” from the Mid-Michigan Street Rod Association.
We fell completely in love with Jim “Jet” Phillips’ ’53 Ford Customline from Grand Rapids, MI, that sits right on 15-inch steelies wrapped in Sentury rubber, looks good in pale blue paint over a gray interior, and rumbles (and burns ankles) with side pipes.
David Petrone from Wanatah, IN, bought his “Rep/Safety Pick” winning ’74 Plymouth Road Runner in 1976 with a 317/727 Torqueflight powertrain, a red and white plaid interior,
and Rally wheels. Looking good 50 years later!
