This 11,000-square-foot home features nine bedrooms— including two bunkrooms with 12 additional beds—and 12 bathrooms, plus spacious common areas, an office, and a gorgeous white kitchen. “We wanted a modern style home,” Ed explains, “But we didn’t want to lose that lake house feel.” Builder Scott Lowell says, “We are proud of the exceptional design on the trim by the architects and designers, and the Lowell execution with enhancements and modification during the actual build.” There were challenges, as the Site Superintendent Tim Voss will attest to. Given a narrow lot with close proximity to the neighbors, Tim says, “It kept it interesting, as well as working with such a great client and seeing their dream develop.”
Four of the children worked closely with Interior Designer Amy Storm and her team to capture the perfect combination of the modern, yet traditional lakehouse feel, which runs throughout the exterior and interior of the home. Both are done in soft, neutral tones, with large windows setting the stage for the lake to be front and center. The exterior is elegant, neutral and classic, surrounded by an impeccable landscape. The interior color palette provides a timeless elegance, with modern lake house accents. While the breathtaking lake view is the star of the property, the backyard swimming pool offers the perfect retreat when it’s time for a break from the water.
