A fter more than 20 years practicing architecture in New England, Kyle Bamrick had developed a clear idea of the kind of architect he wanted to be and the kind of
practice he wanted to build. That vision eventually led him to bet on himself and open Kyle Bamrick Architecture + Design (KBAD) , his one-person residential architecture practice in Wakefield, nearly six years ago. With a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University and licenses in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, Bamrick has spent his career designing custom homes, renovations, and additions throughout Rhode Island and Southern New England. Building KBAD around his own approach gave him greater control over the work, closer client relationships, and the flexibility to build a career around his family and life outside the office. That client relationship has become one of the most rewarding parts of his work. Many of the homeowners he works with are navigating an architectural project for the first time, whether they are building a house or taking on a major renovation.
