It was a place woven into their story — from Lillian’s childhood and the couple’s life together to their engagement and their shared love of the ocean. The couple celebrated with 120 family members and friends at Belle Mer’s Island House, where an outdoor ceremony overlooking the water was followed by cocktail hour and an elegant indoor reception. “We both grew up sailing and have always shared a love of the ocean, so getting married on the waterfront was particularly meaningful to us,” the couple said. Lily and Jon envisioned a coastal garden party aesthetic that complemented Belle Mer’s seaside location. Their color palette centered on shades of blue and white, with bridesmaids wearing different blue hues and patterns. Floral arrangements featured blue and white blooms accented with greenery and displayed in coordinating vases.

Inside the reception, blue and white linens were paired with natural wood tables, woven chargers and abundant candlelight. The combination created an atmosphere that felt relaxed and elegant while complementing the natural beauty of the venue. One of the day’s most memorable moments involved Jon’s grandmother, with whom he has shared a particularly close relationship since
