Pre-arrival Our MSc students are supported throughout their studies by our CareersPlus team. Even before they arrive at WBS, our offer-holders can access webinars over the summer and can also seek personal careers advice from the team via email, phone or Skype. Pre-arrival access to CV advice and V Mock CV-checking software will help students get their CVs ready for any jobs that require early applications, such as those in investment banking and strategy consulting. Coaching and workshops Students will have access to a dedicated team of careers coaches. Career guidance appointments can be arranged throughout the year and support also includes checking applications, mock interviews, mock assessment centres and CV workshops.

China market specialists Our CareersPlus China market specialist collaborates with the University’s Centre for Student Careers & Skills to run the Warwick China Careers Fair, as well as organising WBS China market focused workshops and panels.

A suite of careers workshops are held during the academic year on topics such as deciding what job they want to do, networking and research, cultural awareness, consulting case interview training, and how to use LinkedIn to find a job. In addition to this, a Careers Festival is normally run at the start of term 1 and at the end of term 3, with many further workshops on offer, covering a wide range of careers topics such as the job market in China and India, and developing commercial awareness. For our MSc students with a finance interest we run Finance Fest, a finance-focused festival which brings together experts and specialists to discuss careers in the sector. Topics in the past have included private wealth management, digital currency and cryptocurrency, equity research, mergers and acquisitions, and Fintech.
