Championing Diversity - Geographical* At WBS we welcome a large international community of Change Makers from all over the world, with participants coming from a wide variety of backgrounds, cultures and nationalities. To further encourage this diversity, this scholarship is available for candidates from Africa, Latin America, and Europe. *Including country of domicile and nationality.
Scholarship criteria and applying If a candidate is self-funding or partially employer funded, and they’re interested in applying for a scholarship, they need to submit a written statement (up to 500 words) with their application, referencing which scholarship they’re applying for and outlining why they believe they should be awarded the scholarship, taking the category criteria and elements listed below into consideration. ■ Evidence of individual impact ■ Alignment with our CORE values – Curiosity,Openness, Restlessness and Excellence ■ A desire to make a positive difference in theworld of business and beyond ■ The potential to become a future Change Maker ■ The ability to fulfil future ambassadorial duties for the School. Successful applicants are expected to work closely with the marketing and recruitment teams in order to attract future candidates onto the programme. Applicants should apply for the scholarship category they feel most closely aligns with their background; they will only be considered for one category.
How do you submit an application and what is the process? The application process is online. If applying for the Full-time MBA programme, applicants will be charged a fee of £80. The rest of the MBA programmes do not have an application fee. As part of the application, applicants will need to answer three essay questions (four if they wish to apply for a scholarship) and provide their CV. We require one professional reference which should be from their current, direct line manager but if they have left education within the last five years, they can provide one academic and one professional reference. For all our MBA programmes, applicants will need provide a scanned/electronic copy or high-resolution photograph of their degree certificate/transcript. These documents must confirm that their degree is complete, and has been awarded, confirming their final overall grade or classification. Any documents that are not in English must be accompanied by an official certified translation. Hard copies will be verified during enrolment. The turnaround time is four to six weeks and applicants will receive an official email from the University. Applicants should make sure they carefully read the entry requirements on the WBS website, noting that they differ between courses.
Do applicants need to take an English language test? If an applicant is a non-native speaker of English and they have been educated entirely in English for the duration of their degree, and completed this qualification within the last two years, this may be sufficient to satisfy the University of their language skills. Applicants should contact the MBA recruitment team to confirm suitability of their qualifications and experience.

Inspiring Females We’re committed to working towards a more gender-balanced future for the most senior positions in the boardroom. This scholarship is open to females who demonstrate excellence and are inspiring role models for others.
