The Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast

Sir Egocentric:

Living in a palace with a beast who wants to kill you. You can hardly consider yourself a success story. Face it, Belle: you’re a victim. When I tell people at parties that I have a sister–in–law who ended up living with the ugliest person alive, they can’t believe how sad your story is. I think it’s funny in a way. The beast allows me to be here. In fact, he would allow me to leave the palace for good if I wanted to. That’s great, Belle. So that’s what you’ll do, right? Wrong. If I leave, he will die of loneliness. And I can’t let that happen. Who ever heard of someone dying from loneliness? (to Charlotte) Have you, whatever your name is? My name is Charlotte. I am your wife . And I am beginning to think that it is possible to die from loneliness. It must be awfully hard on you, Belle, seeing your sisters married to such charming chaps. And you ---forced to live with well, a beast !
