Just like Dorothy and her friends, you’ll embark on a journey to develop your performance technique, improve your audition skills, and build confidence beyond the stage. Along the way, you’ll find your courage, heart, and brains, all while having loads of fun! Casting Director Julie Matthews and Musical Director Debi Lewin are here to guide you through this adventure. Kids Warrior Yoga Instructor: Carolyn Miller, M.Ed, RYT-200

Yoga for school age children provides a fun and engaging way for children to practice mindfulness, body awareness, balance, strength and flexibility in a non-competitive and compassionate environment. Traditional yoga poses will be explored using child friendly language, games and traditional yoga sequencing. In addition, yoga provides children with increased focus, confidence and the ability to work through everyday frustrations in a calm manner. Session I: Students will examine magnifying glasses, tweezers, microscopes…that scientists use in What is Science Tool Time, learn how atoms join together to make molecules in Amazing Atoms & Moving Molecules, experiment with mixing colors and chromatography in Colorful Color, discover how size, shape, material affect buoyancy in Floating & Sinking, Students will discover how science is magical in Is It Science, Is It Magic, and learn how seeds spread and the science of leaves changing colors in Harvest Time and Colorful Leaves. Session II: Students will experiment with different materials and learn how they affect the way the balls bounce in Magic of Bouncing Balls, learn about bird habitats in All About Birds, investigate sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous rocks in Rocking Rocks, and experiment with safe acids and bases in Creative Chemistry, understand the science of Terrific Teeth and examine the habits of animals and plants in Proud Ponds! Then, we’ll bring the action to life as we build and program LEGO® mini robots. All teenagers love to get their hands into clay! Students will practice wheel-throwing, hand-building, decorating and glazing techniques while working with clay in this exploratory class.
