son who never sinned, whose life is per fect. Jesus, and that is the reason He came down here to earth and died to save us and all who would believe on Him, for some one must die who had never sinned. There are a great many people in the world who think they can make themselves good by doing good things, but we know this can not take the sin out of our hearts, and there is sin in everybody, for the Bible says all have sinned, and that is why we need a Sav iour. One day when Jesus was living down here on earth He told a story to show us that we could not possibly save ourselves by anything we might do, be cause we could not take the sin away. He told about two men who went up to the church to pray. One of the men as he talked to God in prayer told God what a good man he was, that lie was better than other people, how he treated every one right and lived a good life; he also told God in his prayer that he gave a part of his money to God and that he was better than the other man who had also come to the church to pray. Now the other man’s prayer to God was very short, just a few words. Ha told God only one thing about himself; he said he was a sinner and asked God to forgive him. He bowed his head as he prayed showing he knew there was sin in him and that he needed Jesus as a Saviour to forgive his sin. Now children what do you think Jesus said about these two men? He said the man who said he was a sinner and asked God to forgive him, went back to his home a saved man, so we see how easy it is to have our sins forgiven and be saved, by just asking Jesus to forgive us. This man showed by the way he acted that he was truly sorry for his sin. The other man did not show by his actions any sorrow for his sin, because he told God how good he was and all about the good things he was doing. Now if peo ple just knew what Jesus said they Would know that sin was a very wicked
