Opportunity in Experience Professor of Engineering Physics and the director of the Space and Atmospheric Instrumentation Lab (SAIL), Dr. Aroh Barjatya’s expertise is in space systems engineering. His research spans small satellites, sounding rockets, high-altitude balloons, spacecraft charging, space domain awareness and embedded electronics. Over the past decade, Dr. Barjatya has been part of teams that have secured over $78M in federal funding. He has contributed to eleven space flight projects from inception to launch, ensuring students working on the projects gain real-world experience in space mission and instrument development. Over 50 undergraduates and 14 graduate students have worked under his supervision in SAIL on NASA- and NSF-funded space projects. The real work is done by my students.
