AVIS D’UNE RÉUNION PUBLIQUE CONCERNANT UNE PROPOSITION DE RESTRUCTURATION MUNICIPALE La Municipalité de Casselman, la Municipalité de La Nation et les Comtés unis de Prescott et Russell CONFORMÉMENT À L’ARTICLE 173 DE LA LOI SUR LES MUNICIPALITÉS, L.O. 2001 C. 25. AVIS EST DONNÉ que les conseils de la Municipalité de Casselman et de La Nation tiendront une réunion publique conjointe soit : LE Jeudi 20 mars 2025 à 18 h dans la salle communautaire Deguire du Complexe J.R. Brisson, 758 Brébeuf, Casselman, K0A 1M0; afin de réviser une proposition de restructuration municipale à la Municipalité de Casselman : Partie du lot 7 et 8, concession 6, Municipalité de la Nation, Comté de Russell (superficie approximative de 113 ha) COMMENÇANT à l’angle nord-ouest du lot 8 dans la sixième concession; DE LÀ, vers l’est le long de la limite sud de l’emprise routière entre les concessions 5 et 6 sur une distance de 15,24 mètres jusqu’à un point; DE LÀ, vers le sud le long de la limite est de la Partie 1, Plan 50R-1160 sur une distance de 117,78 mètres jusqu’à un point; DE LÀ, vers l’est et parallèle à la limite nord de la Partie 4, Plan 50R-1160 sur une distance de 962,00 mètres jusqu’à un point; DE LÀ, vers le sud et parallèle à la limite est de la Partie 6, Plan 50R-1160 sur une distance d’environ 1 158 mètres jusqu’à un point situé dans la limite nord de la Partie 1, Plan 50R-1967; DE LÀ, vers l’ouest le long de la limite nord de la Partie 1, Plan 50R-1967 jusqu’à l’angle nord-ouest de la Partie 1, Plan 50R-1967; DE LÀ, vers l’ouest et parallèle à la limite sud de la Partie 4, Plan 50R-1160 sur une distance d’environ 816 mètres jusqu’à un point situé dans la ligne de division entre le lot 8 et le lot 9; DE LÀ, vers le nord le long de la ligne de division entre le lot 8 et le lot 9 sur une distance d’environ 1 337 mètres jusqu’au point de commencement. TOUTE PERSONNE peut assister à la réunion publique et/ou soumettre des représentations orales ou écrites soit en support ou en opposition à la proposition d’annexion. Si cette proposition d’annexion est approuvée par les Conseils municipaux respectifs, celle-ci sera soumise au ministère des Affaires municipales et du Logement pour approbation. NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING REGARDING A PROPOSED MUNICIPAL GEOGRAPHIC ANNEXATION RESTRUCTURE The Municipality of Casselman, the Municipality of The Nation, and the United Counties of Prescott and Russell PERSUANT TO SECTION 173 OF THE MUNICIPAL ACT, S.O. 2001, C. 25. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the councils of the Municipality of Casselman and the Municipality of The Nation will hold a joint public meeting as follows: On Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 6 p.m., at the Deguire Community Hall of the J.R. Brisson Complex, 758 Brébeuf, Casselman, K0A 1M0 to review a proposal for a municipal geographic annexation restructure to the Municipality of Casselman: Part of Lots 7 and 8, Concession 6, Municipality of The Nation, County of Russell (area of approx. 113 ha) COMMENCING at the northwest corner of Lot 8 in the sixth concession; THENCE easterly along the southerly limit of the Road Allowance Between Concessions 5 and 6 15.24 meters to a point; THENCE southerly along the easterly limit of Part 1, Plan 50R-1160 117.78 meters to a point; THENCE easterly and parallel to the northerly limit of Part 4, Plan 50R-1160 962.00 meters to a point; THENCE southerly and parallel to the easterly limit of Part 6, Plan 50R-1160 ±1158 meters to a point in the northerly limit of Part 1, Plan 50R-1967; THENCE westerly along the northerly limit of Part 1, Plan 50R-1967 to the northwest corner of Part 1 Plan 50R-1967; THENCE westerly and parallel to the southerly limit of Part 4, Plan 50R-1160 ±816 meters to a point in the division line between Lot 8 and Lot 9; THENCE northerly along the division line between Lot 8 and Lot 9 ±1337 meters to the point of commencement. ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or submit oral or written representations either in support of or in opposition to the annexation proposal. If this annexation proposal is approved by the respective Municipal Councils, it will be submitted to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for approval.
