Bob Jones College Approximately 500 students recently en rolled at Bob Jones College, Cleveland, Tenn., an increase of 100 over last year, and the largest enrollment in the history of the institution, according to a report re ceived from officials of the college. Formal opening exercises were held on Wednes day, September 7, with Bob Jones, Jr., acting president of the college, in charge. At the first of the series of revival services —meetings always conducted by Bob Jones, Sr., president and founder of the in stitution, as a part of the opening exercises —more than thirty students made a profes sion of faith in Christ. W ork is being rushed on the new mod em, fireproof, brick dormitory and class room building, with a view to occupying it not later than December 1, 1938. ^ SELFISHNESS [Continued from p ag e 331 ] “I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” (Psa. 46:6, 8-11, R. V .). As we who know the Lord view the self ish strife of nations and then read in God’s Word of their future disaster, what should we do? W e know that at Calvary a loving Creator and Lord has made the supreme effort to bring a rebellious world to Himself. “God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them: and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation” (2 Cor. 5 :1 9 ). Let us, then, as "ambassadors for Christ,” plead with the lost: "Be ye reconciled to God” (v. 2 0). Then we— and those we are en abled to win to our Saviour—will rejoice when “he shall reign, whose right it is." REMEMBER THEMTHAT ARE IN BONDS”! About 7,000,000 martyrs in Soviet Russia are still in exile under forced labor, in concen tration camps of the Communists. Their existence is so miserable, that being deprived of the privileges of a civilized world, in their despair they wait upon God and His children in happier countries, who by their prayers and generosity may comfort, help and encourage them. By the Grace of God and generosity of His people, the Russia Inland Relief Mission, for many years, was enabled to render a wonderful relief ministry to these martyrs in bonds, in Russia. Wives, children, parents, brothers and sisters of imprisoned, exiled and deceased Chris tians received and still are receiving help from this Mission. In order to continue this Missionary relief work, we must at this time call upon the children of God everywhere to “Help those who cannot help themselves.** Your prayers and contribu tions for any amount which your charitable heart dictates you, will be greatly appreciated.
