DuPont Calls For Entries For Packaging Innovation Awards DuPont Packaging is again requesting global packaging companies to enter to win a DuPont Award for Packaging Innovation. Entries will be received through February 10, 2017, and forms and information are accessible at packagin- gawards.dupont.com . The long-celebrated awards program distinguishes companies that have answered to the worldwide mandate for improvements in customer product experiences and sustainability. “As the industry’s longest-running, global, independently judged com- petition, the DuPont Awards for Packaging Innova- t ion he lps out s tanding innovat ions achi eve industry validation and recognition,” said Dale Out- hous, Vice President – Ethylene Copolymer s, DuPont Performance Materials. Entry is free and applicants are not required to use DuPont materials in the packaging assembly. The in- ternational panel of packaging leaders who serve as judges consider excellence in technological advance- ment, responsible packaging and enhanced user ex- perience.Winners will join an elite group of industry leaders to be showcased globally mid-May 2017.
Coveris Labels Division Awarded For Sustainability Coveris, a UK-based packaging manufacturer, has been presented with the Energy and Environment Award at the Best Factory Awards hosted by Cranfield School of Management to celebrate manufacturing ex- cellence in the UK. The Best Factory Awards (BFA) competition invites entries from UK manufacturing plants with the purpose of promoting and rewarding industrial excellence.The BFA 2016 Awards Ceremony took place October 14 at the National Motorcycle Mu- seum and Conference Center in Birmingham. Criteria for the Energy & Environment Award in- cluded overall environment performance of the fac- tory and sustainability playing an important role of the management strategy.
