10.1.4 Grant 8 – NOAA Award NA17NMF4720289 This award of $13,806,714 began October 1, 2017 (the start of FY 2018) and will end September 30, 2022. It consists of EIRF earnings from 2016 and 2017. Grant 8 will fund just over $11.7 million in competitive science activities. Approximately $8.8 million from this award are dedi- cated to support research projects submitted to the Core RFP process, including 21 projects funded in the #1800 series and future projects in the #1900 series. Titles and PI information for individual projects awarded are available on the NPRB website. In addition, approximately $1 million has been dedicated from Grant 8 to the Arctic IERP. 10.2 AUDIT RESULTS The Board’s financial statements and federal grants are audited annually by KPMG LLP. The FY 2016 and 2017 audits contained no reportable findings related to the financial statements reported in accordance with Government Auditing Standards. There were no reportable findings and no questioned costs relating to federal awards. The FY 2018 audit was underway as this biennial report went to press. Copies of all annual audits are on file in the NPRB offices, and at the Alaska SeaLife Center, which serves as the fiscal agent for NPRB.
