PROJECT

LIMAVADY SHARED EDUCATION CAMPUS

A SOLUTION OFFERING HIGH ENERGY EFFICIENCY, REDUCED ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT AND COMPATIBILITY WITH ADVANCING TECHNOLOGY SUCH AS HEAT PUMPS WAS DELIVERED BY VERSATILE GROUP… HEATING SOLUTIONS

Versatile Group installed an innovative heating and cooling solution, including advanced Carboline radiant panels, in Limavady Shared Education Campus. A key outcome of the project was the delivery of a solution offering high energy efficiency and reduced environmental impact, in line with the campus’s sustainability goals, while introducing future proofing by building in compatibility with advancements such as heat pumps. Versatile’s solution showcases the integration of energy-efficient and aesthetically pleasing climate control systems in an educational environment. Three main types of heating solutions were installed. Recognised for low water content and high efficiency, NZEB Strada Radiators were used in classrooms, offering quick

heating and cooling and compatibility with low-temperature heating systems such as heat pumps. Carboline Radiant Panels were installed in all science rooms to provide an energy- efficient solution for heating and cooling compatible with various ceiling types and health and safety considerations such as anti-bacterial coatings. Runtal Radiators, with their flexibility in design and installation, were used in corridors to allow efficient heating in transitional areas. Versatile managed 20-25 deliveries over 18 months, aligning with the phased construction schedule across the two campuses. Philip Treacy, Operations Director at

partnership, was crucial in overcoming logistical challenges. Raymond and his team were instrumental in managing the deliveries and installation phases. “The Limavady Shared Education Campus is a benchmark in integrating sustainable heating technologies in educational facilities. “Versatile’s collaboration with other stakeholders and strategic implementation of advanced heating solutions set a precedent for future projects aiming to balance efficiency, sustainability, and functionality.” Insulation
