VQA Health: 7 - way Clostridials per label, Modified - Live Viruses (IBR, PI3, BRSV, BVD I & II) and Mannheimia - at least 21 days prior to take - up. Dewormed. Feed: Rations during preconditioning consist of pasture, hay, and commodity mix (fed at 1 - 1.5% Body Weight). No cattle are backgrounded on “ feedlot type ” rations. **TIP - Keep hay available for several days after purchase to help calves successfully transition to their new ration. Breeds: Predominantly black hided / Angus calves. Charolais crosses are from Angus & Hereford. No Purebred Charolais cattle included. Grades: All of the cattle were evaluated and accurately described by VDACS Marketing Specialists. Only Medium and Large Frame Size - #1 and #2 muscle calves will be sold. Weighing Conditions: Average 30 - mile haul to Tri - State Market and weighed individ- ually. Reds and Other Colors: There are a few Reds and OC ’ s throughout the sale, and they will be offered at a - $10.00 / Cwt discount. If you can not use these animals, please let us know! Extra Guarantees: Stag refund - $100.00. Bred heifer guarantee - $200.00 fund. Please leave ear tags in animals to fully benefit from producer guarantees. All VQA animals are identified using High Frequency RFID Ear Tags. AFCA is excited to participate in US CattleTrace – the producer led animal traceability program.
