The Banting Beat For the third consecutive year, Sir Frederick Banting Secondary School has won the provincial boys’ overall track and field title at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) meet held at York University, June 5 to 7. Banting head coach Todd MacKay says it takes a lot of commitment from the entire team to win. “At the culmination of a weather- challenged season, the Banting Bronco track and field team competed in the annual OFSAA Track & Field Championships. The Championship gathers the best high school competitors from across the province. Banting’s team comprised 15 athletes across all track and field events, including a 4x100m and 4x400m relay. At the culmination of the meet, Banting “ran away” with the Overall Boys title, their third OFSAA title in three years.” Congratulations to the Banting medal performers: Jackson Mackay
