ArtBeat - Spring 2023

Dear Friends, As we wrap up winter City exhibitions, be sure to view Old Town Irvine , part of the ongoing Art at City Hall series, celebrating artists that live, work, and play in Irvine. Old Town Irvine is on display through March 17 and features a collection of reproduced photographs of the people and spaces that were instrumental to the foundation of Irvine as a city. Moving into spring, join us at the Irvine Fine Arts Center for our spring exhibitions, Aries Rising and North Node . Check out Pages 7 and 9 for information. We also welcome the return of the High School Art Exhibition , opening April 3 at City Hall. The annual exhibition highlights the unique and creative talents of Irvine’s high school-aged artists. Join the budding artists and other art enthusiasts for the opening reception April 27, 4:30–6:30 p.m. The exhibit will be on view through July 21. You can also view multiple exhibitions focused on the history of MCAS El Toro at Great Park Gallery. Learn more at yourgreatpark.org/arts . Everyone's favorite summer shopping event, the annual Studio Arts Festival, will take place lakeside at Heritage Community Park, adjacent to the Irvine Fine Arts Center.
