To celebrate these new releases, Casey is hosting a book launch party on Sunday, July 6, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. at the Strathroy Lions Club Hall. The event is free and open to all. Doors open at 2:00, with a special author reading starting at 2:15. Afterward, enjoy a book signing, sweet treats, giveaways and more fun for the whole family. Local Author Casey Lyall Celebrates the Launch of Two New Children's Books

Strathroy’s own Casey Lyall is mak - ing waves in the world of children’s literature—and having a blast do- ing it. When she’s not working at the Strathroy branch of the Middle- sex County Library, Casey is writing laugh-out-loud books for young read- ers. “I’m just waiting for management to realize they’re actually paying me to have fun!” she jokes.

Casey has authored nine books to date, plus two translated edi- tions, and shows no signs of slowing down. This summer, she’s celebrating the release of two brand-new titles that promise to delight young readers (and their grown-ups, too). The League of Littles, beautifully illustrated by Sara Faber, is a middle-grade graphic novel perfect for kids ages 7–11. The sto- ry follows Lexi, Mo, and Eli—three eager agents of the League of Littles—who finally get their first mission: tracking down a runaway hamster that belongs to a fellow student’s older sister. Mischief, chaos, and heroics ensue in this hilarious and heart- warming adventure. For the younger crowd, Casey’s Vampire Jam Sandwich is a spooky and silly picture book geared toward ages 3–5. Illustrat- ed by Nici Gregory, the story begins with a vampire’s bite into a jam sandwich that sparks a jam-fueled rampage. Now, the
