Instruction

O v er the past y ear , Yeshi v a Uni v ersit y librarians deli v ered instruction across a w ide range of academic programs and departments . Highlights include an introduction to Special Collections for students from South Korea participating in Re v el ’ s Ad v anced Certificate in Je w ish Studies , as w ell as multiple orientations on the Wilf Campus for the Post - Pesach Program , PhD seminars , and the Sarah Schenirer Social Work Program . Of the 95 total sessions taught , Wend y Kosakoff of the Pollack Librar y led 47 , including sessions for graduate - le v el courses and one designed specificall y for Writing Center tutors . Inno v ation in pedagog y has also been a focus . Rina Kraut w irth introduced a poll - based model of instruction to se v eral First Year English classes and an Associate ’ s Degree course , increasing classroom engagement and recei v ing positi v e facult y feedback . Instruction librarians ha v e also w orked closel y w ith Director of Student Learning Assessment Rachel Ebner to impro v e assessment strategies , resulting in ne w tools that address pre v iousl y identified gaps to strengthen the o v erall effecti v eness of the librar y ’ s instructional offerings .
