YU Libraries ser v ed as a sub - a w ardee on an Institute of Museum and Librar y Ser v ices ( IMLS ) grant — a collaborati v e initiati v e led b y Brandeis Uni v ersit y and To w son Uni v ersit y – w ith participation from the Je w ish Theological Seminar y and the Uni v ersit y of Den v er . The project focuses on identif y ing and cataloging Je w ish Cultural Reconstruction ( JCR ) books recei v ed b y Yeshi v a Uni v ersit y and other institutions in the post – World War II era .

NEW YORK STATE DOCUMENTARY

HERITAGE GRANT

This y ear the Uni v ersit y Libraries submitted a grant application to the Ne w York State Documentar y Heritage Program ( DHP ) to digiti z e audio recordings of Rabbi Da v id Hollander . Spearheaded b y Deena Sch w immer , the proposed project aims to preser v e and increase access to the legac y of a ke y figure in American Orthodo x Judaism . The application is currentl y pending re v ie w .
