Meet Our Team Fiona Finn (She/Her) F iona joined the Sexual Health Centre as Chief Executive in November 2024, bringing over 20 years of leadership in organisations dedicated to social justice and equality. Her career has been rooted in advocating for the rights of marginalised

communities, with a strong focus on driving real, lasting change.Since stepping into her role, she has championed the expansion of LGBTQIA+ services—ensuring the community receives the care, respect, and visibility it deserves.

Muire O’ Ferrell (She/Her) Muire, our Head of Operations at the Sexual Health Centre, brings a wealth of experience in health promotion and digital communications. With a background in psychology and former roles as Senior Health Promotion Officer and Research/Health Promotion Officer, Muire has long been dedicated to advancing sexual health education and support.Her leadership continues to shape our centre’s mission— ensuring the LGBTQIA+ community is seen, supported, and empowered every step of the way.

Phil (he/him) In his current role as senior health promotion officer, Phil has responsibility for Communications, HIV support and staff training. IPhil manages the Comms team and is responsible for the centre’s public messaging and media engagement. HIV support work involves linking people with treatment, linking to counselling and support groups, offering practical life supports and co- chairing the Fast Track Cities Steering Committee. As one of the longest members of the team and with a warm and welcoming demeanour, Phil is the heart of the organization.

Niamh (she/her) Tara (she/her) Niamh and Tara are the glue that holds the organisation together. As the centre’s receptionists, they welome all callers to the centre with warmth and empathy. They support the day to day scheduling of appointments, ensuring the smooth running of the centre. Both are passionate about the centre being a space for every member of the LGBTQIA+ community.

AGES 18+ ONLY

Elshaddai (He/Him) Elshaddai is our Public Sex Environment (PSE) worker. The PSE Project involves reaching out to gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (gbMSM) with sexual health services and information. Elshaddai and his dedicated volunteers offer HIV testing at LGBTI events and in gay pubs including Wilde, Nudes, and Kino, as well as at the Gay Project and third level institutions such as University College Cork. Elshaddai also provides condoms and information to users of cruising sites, distributes SH24 STI kits, PEP and PrEP education and signposts clients to relevant services. The PSE project is peer-led, with trained community volunteers leading HIV testing and information dissemination. The main goal is to provide services to people in their places of comfort while removing barriers to accessing sexual health services. Our presence is seen on geolocation apps, where we provide sexual health supports, so don’t hesitate to say hi or give us a tap! As an Outreach Worker Hanah provide vital support to migrants and the homeless population, many of whom are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. She meets them where they are through collaboration with different organisations, offering non-judgemental, inclusive sexual health education, free condoms, rapid HIV testing and STI information, and referrals to essential services. Trust is key. Many of the people Hannah supports have experienced trauma, discrimination, or systemic barriers. Her role is about empowerment, dignity, and visibility—ensuring no one is left behind. During Pride, we celebrate not only sexuality and identity, but the right to safety, health, and belonging for all.
