Kindergarten Curriculum Guide
KINDERGARTEN AT THE ORCHARD SCHOOL Kindergarten at The Orchard School is designed to honor the whole child by way of a developmentally appropriate approach. In kindergarten, we believe our students play, observe, explore, and learn best together as a cooperative community. Social-emotional and academic growth are nurtured through a variety of structured and unstructured activities. We utilize both intentional and emergent curriculum to support our grade-level studies, as well as a strong academic focus on literacy skills, writing, and math. Kindergartners also attend special classes in outdoor education/science, art, library, music, physical education, and Spanish.
