NGON & DCI 2019

21st – 23rd May, 2019 Acropolis, Nice, France

The iconic city of Nice on France’s Côte d’Azure, plays host to the 21st Next Generation Optical Networks and Data Centre Interconnect expo this year. This highly-focused event is a must- go for anyone involved in the optical communications industry. NGON & DCI 2019 will focus on a wide range of topics including enabling 5G mobility, reducing OpEx, Increasing bandwidth capacity, disaggregation and convergence, network automation, metro, long-haul and submarine networks and transport SDN & NFV. In 2018, NGON & DCI attracted over 600 visitors from around the world, numbers that will no doubt be exceeded in 2019. Last year’s event also attracted more than 40 exhibitors and 80

speakers, including Brad Booth, principal network architect for Microsoft’s Azure hardware and chairman of COBO; Merrion Edwards, optical fibre, cable market and technology development

director at Corning and Cedric Lam, Engineering Director at Google, to name but a few. Visitors to the 2019 event can expect a similar line-up of industry experts and stimulating discussion.

Connected Britain 2019

offers an in-depth insight into issues facing the UK’s broadband industry. With over 1,200 attendees, over 200 speakers and six content streams, there’s something for everyone. Gigabit Britain will explore all aspects of FTTx, FTTH, LTE and 5G networks in the UK. Digital Britain will encompass all the latest and greatest developments in the UK’s digital economy and how the UK can truly realise the benefits of the digital revolution. Smart Britain will take a glimpse at the UK’s connected future exploring how

emerging technologies like 5G, the IoT, and big data are revolutionising the communications industry. Connected Society will explore how enhanced connectivity can deliver socioeconomic benefits to the whole of the UK In the Connected Infrastructure stream, looks at emerging opportunities and challenges as critical infrastructure becomes increasingly connected. Finally, the Channel Britain track examines the impact of digital transformation on traditional channel business models.
