EWARK, NJ — C&K Properties unveiled the makeover of the
lobby of 2 Gateway Center, its class A office tower in the heart of Newark’s Cen- tral Business District. The renovations include the new Cotidiano coffee bar and café, a laptop bar and additional seating sections along with free wifi throughout the lobby. Kimmerle Newman Ar- chitects redesigned the lobby to create a first-class lounge experience with modernized features for the more than 15,000 workers and commut- ers that pass through the Gateway concourse each day. Earlier this year, 2 Gateway celebrated the openings of The Gateway Project art gallery and the NJTV Agnes Varis Studio, both in the building’s lobby. “With the renovations, we were able to extend 2 Gate- way’s best-in-class connectiv- ity into our lobby with free WiFi accessibility,” said Ben Korman , co-founder and prin- cipal of C&K Properties. “The first-class lounge atmosphere offers a unique setting to work, relax, or simply grab a morning cup of coffee amidst one New Jersey’s most lively commercial corridors.” 2 Gateway has long been a technological leader in the re- gional commercial real estate industry. The building re- cently achieved WiredScore’s first Platinum certification in the state of New Jersey. A Platinum certification guaran- tees choices when selecting an Internet service provider, full distribution of fiber connectiv- ity throughout the building, best in class infrastructure to ensure protection against service interruptions, and ad- ministrative best practices to streamline tenants’ ability to get connected.
