Thank you for taking the time to apply for the appointment with Bidwells LLP. An experienced Divisonal Partner, Propoerty Management is required for a brand-new role with a friendly team of professionals based in Cambridge. Bidwells is the most successful property consultancy in Cambridge with an outstanding track record, with a loyal and well established client base and newly established headquarters which has set a new standard in office accommodation. The Divisional Partner role will take responsibility for the management and delivery of services to the sites and buildings located at Granta Park, as well as the leadership and line-management of site-based staff. You’ll be expected to effectively manage the diverse requirements of the role; client reporting, operational facilities, property management responsibilities for directly-managed buildings and sites, financial management (including service charge budgeting and control of expenditure) and dealing with tenant applications. It’s a significant portfolio of office and laboratory buildings, and you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of service to a key client portfolio and there’s scope to grow the instruction as Granta Park develops. What’s more, there’s scope to step up to Group Partner level, with higher levels of profit share in the business available to you – so you can truly be invested in the successes at Bidwells. One of the largest on-site clients at Granta Park, Biomed Realty is a Blackstone portfolio company and is the largest private provider of real estate solutions to the life science and tech - nology industries. BioMed owns and operates high quality life science real estate comprising 14 million square feet concentrated in the leading innovation mar- kets throughout the United States and United Kingdom.
BioMed entered the Cambridge, UK market in 2012 and has expanded to become the largest private owner of life science space in Cam- bridge. During this time, BioMed has created a vibrant life science ecosystem to support growth and opportunities for all stages of life science companies. THE ROLE Bidwells has an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial property manager to join their established Investment and Property Management in Cambridge. You will be responsible for leading a talented team to deliver services to commercial clients at Granta Park, presiding over a significant portfolio of office and laboratory buildings, ensuring that client services are provided to a high standard and in accordance with Asset Management Agreements. PURPOSE The main focus of this role is to provide property management expertise and leadership for the Granta Park team. Reporting to the Head of Investment & Property Management, the post-holder will take responsibility for the management and delivery of services to sites and buildings together with the line management and leadership of site-based staff. The post-holder will be expected to effectively manage the diverse requirements of the role, eg. client reporting, operational facilities, property management responsibilities for directly managed buildings and sites, financial management (including service charge budgeting and control of expenditure) and dealing with tenant applications. OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES Property Management • Advising on property management issues, and dealing with applications for assignment, sub-lettings and alterations. Financial and Commercial Acumen • Overseeing the management and reconciliation of service charges and rent debtor control, preparing and submitting client budgets for service charges as well as operational and capital projects. Leadership • Leading the Granta Park team including management of the onsite staff and facilities/ property managers, and forming good working relationships with clients, tenants, stakeholders and the wider Bidwells team. Asset Management • Identifying and implementing opportunities to add value and optimise performance of the portfolio.

YOUR BACKGROUND • MRICS qualified
