Some of the success stories include a blind manufacturer, safeguarding training provider, lift-sharing app developer, and a festival tourism website creator, among others. These diverse ventures highlight the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial drive flourishing within the borough. Delivered by Telford & Wrekin Council with the UK Shared Prosperity Fund*, this £5.8m program aims to support local job creation and business innovation. Launched in the summer of 2023, Thrive Telford’s Business Start-Up Service has already had significant interest, with a steady stream of enquiries, totalling over 100 in the last quarter alone.
