Wild Telford is back

Aged 8+? Biking, bats and balls – we’ve got it all

Looking for something free to do over half term?

Fun, nature-filled sessions for the whole family to enjoy are back for October half term

Then check out our sports programme being held over October half term, in venues across Telford and Wrekin. We’re funding these sessions to help families with the cost of living – we all know how pricey the school holidays can be and how tricky it is to keep youngsters occupied and off devices. With help from AFC Telford United Foundation, Shropshire Cricket, Brightstar Boxing, Telford Netball, Telford & Wrekin Hockey Club, Telford Flyers BMX and the Bike Hub there will be plenty to keep your youngsters busy – and active. Each session is about two hours and there is no need to book, just turn up dressed for the weather. Telford & Wrekin Council has organised the sessions following feedback from residents that have been working with the Safer & Stronger Communities project.

Wild Telford was a huge success in the summer with families exploring the borough’s green places with help from the experts – Shropshire Wildlife Trust, helping inspire a love for nature. This autumn, everything from nature crafts, wild

scavenger hunts, bug hunting, den building and lots more will be available across our nature reserves and green guarantee sites. Even better, the venues are right on your doorstep

so you can get out there, time and again. See you there.
