BUSINESS
the right tree
It has been a year since Dogs’ Health Shop opened its doors at Newport Indoor Market, thanks to a Telford & Wrekin Council’s Pride in our High Street trial start-up grant and the community’s appreciation for healthier pet choices continues to grow. Nigel Paskin, the visionary behind the business, decided to establish a physical presence after observing a steady increase in online demand through his website – dogshealthshop.com and repeated enquires from customers as to where his shop was located. The market stall provides the finest natural dog treats, scientifically proven to enhance canine vitality. By sourcing treats and foods from reputable suppliers across the UK, Nigel ensures the utmost quality. One year of tail wagging success for Newport dog shop
Open on Fridays, Saturdays (8am-4pm), and Tuesdays (8am-4pm) entrances are located on Stafford Street and St Mary’s Street (via Market Mews). Free car park and bus service drop off around the corner.
Nigel saw this venture as an invaluable opportunity to offer these products locally and offers a convenient click-and-collect service. Unlike large pet stores or chains, Newport’s Dogs’ Health Shop caters to the unique needs of furry friends. Nigel remarks, “Many dog owners now realise that healthier diets lead to happier, more active dogs.” Nigel’s range continues to attract first-time dog owners and visitors from neighbouring areas, receiving numerous enquiries and welcoming visitors eager to explore his specialised offerings. He expresses his optimism, stating, “I’m feeling very positive about having a regular presence in Newport, and I’m excited to see my business continue to thrive.”
