“Volunteering at Dawley Hamlets Local Nature Reserve keeps me fit, mentally and physically, connecting with nature, history and like-minded people. We work to increase biodiversity and create a greener, healthier environment. “Organisations including Smallwoods and Buglife have brought in expertise, funding and more volunteers, multiplying our efforts. I like the idea that some of the fruits of our work might not be fully apparent until the next century.” Dave Jackson Volunteer with Friends of Dawley Hamlets Local Nature Reserve

More dates are due to be announced please check the website telford.gov.uk/getconnected or call MOBILE-ALT 01952 380000 .
“These courses are aimed at beginners, so you really don’t need to have any prior knowledge to take part and learn new things. If you already have your own digital device, please bring it along to the course, but if you’re not sure if you have a suitable device, please get in touch and we may be able to help you. “We piloted the courses in a couple of locations around Telford and Wrekin, and they’ve proved so popular that we’re planning to announce new dates regularly.”
