OUR CHARITY OF THE YEAR FOR 2025 IS… Uncle Paul's Chilli Charity Founded in 2020, Uncle Paul’s Chilli Charity is set in a unique, rural environment. We welcome young people and adults who may have experienced social disadvantages or barriers to learning and/or employment. Using our farmland setting, beneficiaries can learn and develop new skills, as well as gain experience and qualifications needed for successful and sustainable employment. Our key focuses are on education, wellbeing and social prescribing. Provide support through a monthly or one-off donation: www.chillicharity.org.uk The Hollis Morgan charitable year… Our work naturally leads us to engage with many people in a professional way but also makes us only too aware of the needs of the local community. As a result, we have always endeavoured to support local charities whenever possible. We do this by making an annual contribution to our chosen charity for the year. And also by offering our services free for charitable auctions – this year presiding at two Gala evenings in support of Cancer Research and Dementia Care. During 2024 we were able to contribute £7,500 to our chosen charity the Malcolm Gunter Foundation .
our charity support
The Hollis Morgan philosophy is to help charities wherever possible. Each year we dedicate part of our time, talents and money to support local worthy causes and charities. Through charity auctions, hosting and staging events, as well as sponsorship and support of our chosen annual charity, we are able to assist in raising both donations and awareness. Ask about our service by contacting Andrew Morgan MBE on 0117 973 6565
Malcolm Gunter was a professional colleague who died at a young age from Motor Neurone Disease. Following his diagnosis, Malcolm and his family approached their situation with great bravery and fortitude but inevitably, as the condition developed, their circumstances and needs changed. In his memory, the Malcolm Gunter Foundation has raised over £200,000 and provided support and grants for many local people living with and affected by MND. The Foundation is also seeking to assist and support others in a similar situation, and fund further research into MND. The Foundation will now continue in Malcolm’s memory. In 2025 we are taking a rural approach! We will be supporting Uncle Paul’s Chilli Charity located in beautiful countryside just south of Bristol, Uncle Pauls Chilli Farm provides a unique environment where young people and adults who have experienced social disadvantage or barriers to learning or employment, can enjoy an alternative environment in which to learn and develop new skills, experience and qualifications needed for successful and sustainable employment. Mental health and wellbeing have become a strong focus for many over the past few years. The stigmas surrounding our mental health are lifting and more people are seeking ways to improve their wellbeing. Since the Pandemic the ONS has reported low ratings of personal wellbeing across the UK. Uncle Paul’s Chilli Charity offers opportunities to enjoy a wholesome, natural landscape along with activities designed to help relax or refocus the mind. Whether it’s spending time in a hot tub or pool, learning about spices and cooking, looking after horses, plant growing and gardening, beekeeping or simply wandering the 40-acre area and taking in some breath-taking views whilst connecting with nature, Uncle Pauls’s offer plenty of wellbeing activities for those in need. We are looking forward to adding to the ‘the Spice of life’ in 2025.
