KINDERGARTEN READINESS READINESS T he library has long been committed to kindergarten readiness through its adoption of the nationally renowned Every Child Ready to Read initiative which provides parents and caregivers with tools to help their young child get ready to read. More recently, AACPL has taken a broader approach to helping prepare children for school. Recognizing that the needs of the entire family must be addressed to ensure future academic success, the library is proud to work with our partners to offer a variety of wrap around services including job training assistance and skill building classes at all libraries, social workers and social service staff at six libraries, community pantries at three branches and parenting classes throughout the year.
