ORGANIZATION/PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Department of Educational Technology (EDTech) combines infrastructure, data management, and desktop support services, while supporting technology integration and instruction. Our dedicated team is driven by a passion for leveraging technology to enhance learning experiences for students, educators, and the entire school community. With a focus on the use of cutting-edge technology into the curriculum, we strive to empower students with the skills they need for success in the modern world.
EDTech Service Descriptions
FY26 Proposed Budget
Network Management & Service : ● Covers the infrastructure needed to maintain reliable internet access and internal networks across all schools, including routers, switches, and wireless systems. Costs include ongoing network maintenance, annual support & licensing plans, upgrades, and internet service provider fees. Device Hardware/Software Support: ● Includes the purchase, repair, and replacement of student and staff devices (e.g., laptops, Chromebooks, tablets), audio/visual equipment, and software licenses essential for classroom learning and administrative tasks. Cybersecurity: ● Protects sensitive district data and systems against cyber threats. Expenses include annual support and licensing costs for firewalls, threat detection software, staff training, and compliance with state/federal security mandates and cyber insurance requirements Print Management: ● Manages district-wide print/fax needs, including copier leases, toner, paper, and software that tracks and reduces unnecessary printing.
