ARRIVING BY HELICOPTER TO BE SWEPT TO THE GRANDSTAND IN A BENTLEY IS UNSURPASSABLE

be helicoptered back to our hotel in less time than it would usually take for us to make it out of the car park. We will book into James Martin’s The Kitchen at Chewton Glen for a light, late supper, maybe sharing a plateau de fruits de mer and enjoying just one more glass of champagne. We have experienced many of the restaurants in a Room with a View: Chez Roux, with its world-leading Michelin-star team; the Horse & Groom Pub, serving cod cheeks and rib-eye steak; and the Final Fence, where all the drama unfolds in front of you. But this time, it’s all about an aerial view for us, and the Panoramic delivers that in very elegant spades. After a day of indulgence, it will make a wonderful change to relax in the comfort of a Bentley and then
