THE JOCKEY CLUB WEST RACECOURSES

WINNING IN THE WEST

The Jockey Club is proud to host some of the biggest Jump races across the season. And whether you’re based in the North or the South, there’s plenty of chances to see top quality action over the obstacles in some momentous races throughout the 2021/22 Jump season across The West in addition to Cheltenham and Aintree

1 EXETER Regarded by trainers and jockeys as one of the fairest Jump tracks in the country, Exeter has seen a whole host of great names over the years and continues to keep on attracting them to the present day. The highlight of the year is the Grade Two Haldon Gold Cup, which is competed over 2m 1f and 109 yards. This year’s renewal will take place on Tuesday 2 November and despite it being a midweek fixture, it always attracts a strong crowd of racing fans and it’s easy to see why with the race’s roll of honour. Best Mate, Edredon Bleu, Cue Card and Politologue have all won this race on their way to further glories since 2000, and you can expect another strong field of future
