GRATITUDE REPORT 2024
Thank you for supporting The Cupcake Girls! Despite the chaos, injustices, and uncertainties of our current climate, supporters like you have consistently shown up to strengthen and empower our community, which restores my hope in the power of our shared humanity. I appreciate your genuine care for our program participants and your commitment to helping ensure their safety, growth, and success. It’s been an honor to continue working with our staff and volunteers to drive our mission forward and build sustainability. I’m grateful to have so many incredible, driven, and heart-centered people on our team and to prioritize providing the best experiences for our program participants, staff members, and volunteers. Our Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee has resumed the crucial work of emphasizing intersectionality in pursuit of collective liberation, and how that applies to every facet of our organization. I’m proud of the conversations our work inspires, our efforts to continue improving, and the positive feedback from our team and partners. I’m excited for more opportunities to connect with, lean into, and grow our community in 2025. Thank you again for your support and generosity. I hope you continue this journey with us! With all my gratitude, Brironni A MESSAGE FROM BRIRONNI ALEX CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - PEOPLE OPERATIONS + EQUITY

A MESSAGE FROM AMY-MARIE MERRELL
CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - PROGRAMS + DEVELOPMENT
This year has reinforced the importance of advocating for safety, consent, and equitable access to resources while addressing the stigma and discrimination that continue to harm the communities we work alongside. Thanks to your support, we’ve continued distributing essential resources, including Narcan, fentanyl test strips, emergency contraceptives, and hygiene products—all without strings attached. We challenged harmful narratives through workshops, panels, and conversations focused on the real issues surrounding sex trafficking and the importance of systemic change. These efforts are grounded in our core belief: the people most impacted by stigma, criminalization, and systemic injustice deserve to lead conversations and decisions about their lives. Your contributions make it possible for us to show up in meaningful ways, whether it’s through providing tangible resources, or dismantling harmful policies. Thank you for standing with us in this work. Your commitment to justice fuels our collective movement toward a future where sex trafficking is eradicated, and sex workers are safe, empowered, and free from stigma. As we move into 2025, we invite you to continue learning, and unlearning, advocating, and walking alongside us to challenge harmful systems and create real change. Amy-Marie Merrell
