l'UE KING'S BUSINESS The Bible Institute of Los Angeles Christian Endeavorers Take Note:

‘We. the congregation and pastor of the First M. E. Church of Orcutt, do all to gether in a body send our appreciation of Brothers Sloan and Whittaker. We think they .have done lasting good in this small town. From their eight days’ work we have taken into the M. E. Church six young people. May the blessing of God ever be theirs.” The Oil Field Evangelists are on their way south and will soon be in the field ad jacent to the city. Sowing and reaping as God gives them opportunity they are work ing faithfully every day. We are confident that many stars' of rejoicing await them. Personal Work In the Book Room Several of the boys were in the Book Room of the Institute talking about one of the meetings held in the Christian En deavor Mission at San' Pedro. A woman standing near them waiting for a package overheard their conversation and asked the young man in the office how the men about whom they were talking were saved. The opportunity was opened for giving the truth and the result will be seen in the following extract from her letter. “I have just read to my mother the two tracts you enclosed in your kind and wel come note. She is in her ninety-fourth year, but they have brought to her instruc tion as well as to me. I am reading to her the Scofield Course and we are both amazed at the light thrown upon what has long been hopeless darkness to us both. The chart you so kindly sent has already been of much help and will serve, I hope, to arouse interest in some of my neighbors as well. Surely God led me to the base ment of the Auditorium the day I saw you first My progress is very slow, for pain fully acquired habits of thought are hard to be cast aside, but I know my Pilot has come on board and that I have accepted Him as my Saviour at last. You will un derstand the gratitude to you I will always feel.”

Dr. Lapsley A. MeAffee will write the Endeavor Topics month by month for the K ing ' s B usiness . Be sure to subscribe in time for the July number. The King’s Business Our monthly magazine is growing in favor. We have better things in prospect in connection with its future development. We earnestly desire the co-operation of every reader in the effort to increase its circulation. The July number will be a special one. In it will be an account of the cornerstone laying, for the New Build ing, and of our fifth anniversary exercise. Sample copies of the K ing ’ s B usiness will be sent upon application. Institute Notes Mr. Jamison of the Spanish Mission is taking a vacation and at the same time min istering the Word in many places in the middle west and the east. He writes of some interesting experiences and of many hungry hearts longing for the simple Gos pel of grace. Mr. Jamison is using his chart of the dispensations and creating a good deal of interest in God’s plan of the ages. Our Mr. Stanton is in the East in the interest of our building finances. He had the pleasure of laying the matter •before some people in Chicago and is now in Phil- adelpha, then New York, making friends for the Institute. We bespeak special prayer in behalf of his mission. The Oil Field Work All of the work of the Institute is of the most unselfish nature. The workers in every department are seeking to be a bless ing to the souls of people and have been able by God’s grace to help very many of the churches throughout the State. Words of appreciation are gratifying and we take pleasure in printing the following,
