Staff & Volunteer Lunches: The Meat-Free Achievement

In 2025, we successfully transitioned the standardised packed lunch menu for staff and volunteers to be 100% Meat-Free (Vegetarian & Vegan). The Change: In 2024, the menu was heavily meat- based (54% Meat) which accounted for 84% of the staff meal emissions. In 2025, the same events served a 99.7% Meat-Free menu. The Result: This single policy change reduced the category’s total carbon footprint by 23%, saving 1.16 tonnes of CO₂e.
