Year-on-Year Comparison & Top Drivers Comparing performance against our 2024 Base Year, we identify the following as the “Big Three” drivers of GRC’s climate impact: • Participant Travel (77.4% of total): The independent travel of tens of thousands of runners arriving from across the UK and overseas. • Kit & Clothing (11% of total): The embodied carbon in textile manufacturing for finisher t-shirts, staff and volunteer apparel. • Giveaways (5.9% of total): The manufacturing impact of finisher rewards and goody bags, comprising both the bags and products inside.
