Appendix A: Glossary & Acronyms
rPET Recycled Polyethylene Te3rephthalate (recycled polyester). T&D (Transmission & Distribution) The emissions associated with the electricity lost during transmission through the grid WTT (Well-to-Tank) The upstream emissions associated with extracting, refining, and transporting fuels before they are burned or consumed.
CO2e (Carbon Dioxide Equivalent) A metric measure used to compare the emissions from various greenhouse gases based on their global-warming potential (GWP), by converting amounts of other gases to the equivalent amount of carbon dioxide with the same global warming potential. DESNZ Department for Energy Security & Net Zero (formerly DEFRA for reporting purposes). Mitigation Actions taken to reduce or prevent the release of greenhouse gas emissions (e.g., switching to renewable energy, reducing travel).
