By the time you read this we will be well into summer and getting closer to Institute week. The Board and Institute Committee met in Nashville in mid-June to finalize all the preparations for Institute and to get everyone acclimated to the meeting space. Several ventured out into Nashville to check out some of the recommended restaurants and attractions. Nashville is such a fun city! We decided to do the Wednesday Welcome as a “Grab and Go see Nashville” event. So many times we go to these awesome cities and there isn’t much time to check them out! The Gaylord Opryland offers a shuttle to downtown and a shuttle to the Opry Mills Mall. Uber and Lyft are also available and the rates are very reasonable. I highly recommend you take advantage of the opportunity to see some of Nashville on Wednesday! Be sure and stop by the Information desk to check with Jennifer Kegans and Terri McDearman for maps and brochures. Our Program Committee, chaired by Stephanie Moore and Yolanda Bazan, have worked hard to provide some very interesting educational classes for our attendees. They also revamped our class schedule sheet and not only made it easier to read, but added a map to it as well! Great job Ladies! Don’t forget, you can attend the Wednesday workshops AT NO ADDITIONAL COST if you choose to. That’s THREE days of education for one price! I hope everyone will be ready to have a great time at Blake Shelton’s “Ole Red” in downtown Nashville. Ole Red just opened in May and it is beautiful! I have heard rave reviews about the place, the food and the entertainment! The Hospitality Committee Chairs, Lisa Buffaloe and Kacie Bevers, have assured me that all will have a fun time at this party!! Buses will take us there and will return at scheduled times. Ole Red is on Broadway so if you decide to check out the music you can always Uber or Lyft back to the hotel. Not a country music fan? Music City USA has ALL types of music!! I hope you are planning on joining us in Nashville as we celebrate the 45th Anniversary of NADOA. We’ve gotten great room rates, inexpensive airfare can be found on all carriers (check on Tuesdays!) and we’ve got a great Institute price!
