The Extensive Garden Roof specification section is written based on a full system warranty with American Hydrotech as their basis of design. In section 1.5 (system description) it clearly states the components for the green roof are for a built up system like American Hydrotech’s including water retention mat, root barrier, filter fabric etc. Whereas both the landscape and architectural drawings reference a “ 12”W x 24”L x 4.25” depth pre-vegetated Sedum Green Roof Tray system Typ.” This is not a green roof system that American Hydrotech offers and is contrary to the specs. There is an emphasis in the specs on storm water management including the requirement for a comprehensive Storm Water Performance Report (which Hydrotech will provide for their system). This combined with the spec for an overall system warranty leads me to believe that the spec is more reflective of the actual desired design for the green roof. Overall the built up system with the American Hydrotech full system warranty would involve more cost than a tray option. R Intensive roof garden systems are shown on drawings at 5 th level. The 329700 Extensive garden system section needs to be modified to include the intensive roof garden requirements. R

Review Surface treatment and repair - Paragraph 3.6 - Cracks not defined dimensionally. R Section 2.3C calls out for the base flashing to be Neoprene Flashing and SBS Flashing and section describes the installation of the Neoprene Flashing and SBS Flashings. Section 3.7a does not reflect the use of the required flashing products and need to be change to accurately reflect the specified products. R For the non-insulated panel application at the canopy soffits, Centria in the spec. but don’t really call out a specific panel. Everybody makes a concealed fastener soffit panel though and there’s nothing to them so that’s no big deal. Morin, Petersen Alum, Fabral, etc. Define a module width and gauge/type of material. R The metal panels are a rain screen system. In no case should the primary sealant line be to the face of the metal panels. The adjacent systems need to either be sealed to the weather membrane or to flashings which are integral to the weather membrane R Specification section 085113 Aluminum Window Wall, 2.1 Manufacturers listed Cupples, Elston, and Sota. Can Wausau added to this section? R No information about pipe martial is specification. We are assuming Sch#40 & 10 black pipe for complete project R For the Insulated approach, at the 5 th floor fascia soffit. Northclad AL series rainscreen is called out over insulation, but that panel system can be pretty pricey. You could probably just go with an aluminum composite material (ACM) panel rainscreen system here and save some money. The panels themselves aren’t insulated in either system, so you end up insulated behind them either way - whether it be with an insulated wall, or putting rigid insulation between Z girts, and hanging the panels on the girts. R Regarding Type A unit Accessibility requirement. Are we to include any ADA requirement for countertops, cabinets, and appliance in our current budget. We didn’t expect so but wanted to confirm. R Confirm that the column enclosure at Columns 4.9 and A is cladded on all four sides by metal panel. R
