Specifications interfacing with this work. The bidder is advised to review the work descriptions of the other categories so as not to misunderstand scope responsibilities.
THE SCOPE OF WORK IS TO INCLUDE, but is not limited to, all work depicted on the drawings and in the specifications. Specific areas of note include:
1.
Layout: a) Provide all layout as required for the completion of your work and to coordinate with all other trades. Initial bench marks will be provided by Leopardo Companies.

General Items: a)
This Scope of Work document is a Contract Document and shall be treated as such. b) Wherever discrepancies occur within the contract documents, the Subcontractor shall be required to provide the greater, quantity, quality, or cost of work. c) Subcontractor has reviewed the project site and is fully cognizant of all the jobsite conditions and existing structures as related to the coordination and installation of their work. d) Subcontractor includes all escalation costs for completing their work according to the schedule contained herein. e) Fully comply with sequence of construction activities pursuant to the contract documents. f) Include licensing / certification etc. necessary to work within the City of Rolling Meadows. g) Contact and coordinate with DIGGER and or JULIE, local Sanitary District and the local Building Department. Protect all existing utilities from damage due to your work. The Subcontractor or their Sub-Subcontractor shall be licensed and bonded with the city or Municipality where the project is located. Subcontractor is responsible for notifying the Leopardo Superintendent of his intention to dig or excavate and for providing a complete plan that shows all areas of digging. Subcontractor is to notify all the appropriate authorities having jurisdiction over the work area and obtain a dig number and or approval to dig. Subcontractor agrees to notify the Leopardo Superintendent of the dig number/approval notice and date of call to the appropriate authorities. Subcontractor further agrees that it is absolutely forbidden to do any machine excavation above any utility lines. h) When it is necessary to modify or tie into existing utility services, Subcontractor shall notify Leopardo Companies Inc. in writing a minimum of 48 hours prior to the planned disruption. All disruptions shall be scheduled with Leopardo Companies Inc. and shall be kept to a minimum time. Tie-ins and shutdowns of existing utilities may have to be performed during off hours. Subcontractor’s are to include any required premium time in the Base Bid. i) Subcontractor shall assure that underground utilities are not damaged by its excavation, trenching, augering, drilling or other operations. Subcontractor shall contact the appropriate utility or utility locator service to inspect its work area to locate and mark underground utilities. Subcontractor shall preserve markings, or have location marked again, so that equipment operators know where utilities are located. Utilities shall be exposed by hand digging only. Subcontractor shall train its operators, foreman and superintendent in proper procedures to avoid damaging underground utilizes. Subcontractor is to provide a “Daily Pre -Excavation Planning Checklist” to the Leopardo Superintendent before excavating. Subcontractor agrees not to let their dig number expire until their work is fully completed. j) Information pertaining to the existing building has been obtained through as-built drawings and site visits. This information is not warranted to be complete or accurate. Subcontractor shall verify all dimensions in the field prior to ordering materials or construction and any costs or expenses arising out of its failure to do so shall be borne solely by Subcontractor. k) The Subcontractor shall examine the existing site conditions and carefully compare them to the Drawings. All measurements must be verified from actual observation at the Project site. The
